Mariella de Boer (b. 1968, Netherlands) is a contemporary artist based in Norway. Her work features dreamy, playful compositions in soft pastels that occasionally explode into vibrant hues, reflecting a rich tapestry of cultural influences from her diverse global experiences.

With a hands-on approach across various mediums, Mariella creates both functional art—like mosaic tables adorned with floral designs made from discarded materials—and expressive paintings, including her engaging series "The Beach Boys."

Inspired by her mother, who, despite facing challenges with bipolar disorder, consistently encouraged her to embrace creativity, Mariella worked through her own creative blocks from childhood. Althought art has been an important part of her whole life, she started uncovering her unique style since 2020. 

Her personal background and her former studies in Social Sciences enrich her work, inviting viewers to connect deeply while resonating with hope, joy and light. Her story also inspires her to help others to connect with their talents.
